Dubuisson is the manager at Panache Apparel & Accessories in Gulfport by day and a barrel racer in her free time, managing to not only balance but excel in both roles. She pursued fashion
and her potential in retail after being hired by Rebeca Fairley, the owner of Panache. Regarding her love of fashion, Dubuisson says, “I love that you can express yourself through fashion and also show whatever mood you’re in.”
Before she worked at Panache, her typical out ts consisted of blue jeans
and t-shirts. However, after working at Panache, she developed her own style lled with fun prints and vibrant colors that highlight her personality. Working
at Panache, Fairley became not only Dubuisson’s fashion inspiration but her role model as well. “Rebeca is like my go-to,” Dubuisson said. “I look up to her – she has so much to balance from family to her job, and she does it all so well.”
Meeting and getting to know her customers is Dubuisson’s favorite part of working at Panache. She has developed various relationships while working in the store and has proven herself to be an extremely hard-working person, working
her way up and becoming the store’s manager. Her touch
can especially
be seen on
the store’s
socials, which
are always lled with bright smiles and beautifully put together out ts.
Aside from working at the
boutique, Dubuisson has been a barrel racer from a very young age. Her favorite part of barrel racing is the competitiveness of the sport as well as the support that comes with it. “We
all push ourselves, but we cheer each other on too,” she said. “Barrel racing is competitive, but it’s also a community.”
Dubuisson’s mom, Crystal Moran,
is who initially introduced her to the sport of barrel racing and the love of horses. “My mom did it all,” Dubuisson said. “She is my person, especially when it comes to horses.” According to Dubuisson, her mom is and will always be her biggest fan.
THE MOST TREASURED PART OF RIDING IS THE RELATIONSHIP YOU DEVELOP WITH YOUR HORSE;
IT'S THAT RELATIONSHIP THAT MAKES IT ALL WORTH IT.
Blue Jeans is Dubuisson’s favorite
horse, aptly named for her striking blue roan coloring. She says that her
relationship with Blue Jeans is the
closest one she’s had with a horse and that their teamwork has been
nothing short of rewarding. “There is something so magical about having full trust and con dence in a 1500-pound animal,” she said. “The most treasured part of riding is the relationship you develop with your horse; it’s that relationship that makes it all worth it.”
Dubuisson’s goal is to be able to attend the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas and to be able to rodeo full time at least once.
While life can sometimes be hectic, especially balancing these two seemingly distant worlds, Dubuisson says, “If it is something you love, you’ll make time for it.” And for her, there will always be time for her two loves: horses and fashion.
