salt. The Pimento Cheese Burger was also an instant favorite.
The bacon jam adds a beautiful smokey flavor that pairs in contrast to the sharpness of the pimento. The real gem here
lies in the hidden fried green tomato, lightly battered and fried perfectly crisp. When paired
with the truffle parmesan fries, it makes for an incredible meal.
The Roast Beef Po’Boy comes served dressed with a cajun creole mustard that is really the star of the dish. It’s perfectly balanced against the saltiness
of the gravy and sliced roast beef. The cajun seasoned fries were a great combination, perfectly suited to mop up any stray gravy. Another fantastic option for lunch is the Fried Chicken Club served with potato salad. Adorned with applewood smoked cheddar cheese, crispy bacon and fully dressed with
a green chili aioli, the chicken rests in all its glory on a piece of fresh cut French bread. The cool potato salad pairs well, adding airiness to the otherwise heavy sandwich.
With times being so uncertain, it’s lovely to see a small business casting off their boat and taking Government Street by storm. If you get the chance to stop by,
I encourage you to do so. The interior is roomy, with plenty
of space for social distancing, and if you’re lucky, you just may catch Brewmaster Konrad out front mixing up a little magic.
