What sets me apart from others in my eld is:
I think what sets me apart from others is empathy and social responsibility. It seems as though
this is lacking in this day and time. I believe it’s an honor that employees entrust us with their careers and livelihood that provides a means
of support for their families. My responsibility is to advocate for a place where employees thrive and grow and feel appreciated and trust that someone is looking out for them.
What I like best about what I do is:
I enjoy being in a position that allows me
to make decisions based on feedback and connections I have with the employees that can make a difference and improve the workplace, making Silver Slipper the company people want to work for.
Advice I would give to young female entrepreneurs:
Always be your authentic self, never make decisions based on what you might think others would do, and trust your gut! Take risks and make lots of mistakes, that’s how you grow, be proud of those mistakes, hopefully you’re better because of the risks you took and the mistakes you made to get you where you are today.
My greatest successes have been:
I consider the relationships I have made with the employees here at the Silver Slipper to be one of my greatest successes.

Director of Sales & Marketing
What I like best about what I do is:
I like that no two days are alike. Marketing within the casino industry is constantly evolving and the Marketing Department has the opportunity every day to be creative with our efforts to enhance the guest experience.
Advice I would give to young female entrepreneurs:
Right out of college, I remember there being a wide belief among peers that in order to have
a successful career, one must put their personal life on hold. I made sure that my experience was different. When I moved to the Gulf Coast after college, it certainly felt like I was choosing career over personal life (as I moved away from all of my closest friends), but what I’ve come to nd over the last decade is that it is because of my career that
I am able to have such a ful lling personal life. There are many opportunities that I likely would not have had if I did not choose to build a career. My advice is this: a strong work ethic and willingness to learn in the workplace can lead to a wonderful career and, ultimately, a ful lling life.
My greatest successes have been:
I feel like my greatest success is the immense growth I’ve experienced, both personally and with my career. I started my career at the Silver Slipper in 2009 as a Gift Shop Attendant and, at that point, I never would have believed that in 10 years, I would be the Director of Sales & Marketing.
