Do you want to join the elite group of people who have become Edgers? Then join the Hang Out with Habitat on Saturday, October 13, and rappel 300 feet down the IP Casino Resort and Spa in Biloxi.
“The opportunity to go ‘over the edge’ at the IP is an extraordinary
way to recognize, celebrate and commemorate the organization’s progress while raising essential funds for its future,” said Duncan McKenzie, vice president and general manager of IP Casino Resort Spa.
All participants must raise or pay a minimum of $1,000 per person for this exclusive opportunity to rappel and become an Edger. Something new this year is the Team Up to rappel down approach: a group of five Edgers can rappel for a commitment of $4,000. This will allow for a group of friends, co-workers and family members to have some fun and make a difference.
Habitat for Humanity of the Mississippi Gulf Coast (HFHMGC)
works to provide strength,
stability and self-reliance through opportunities. One of those opportunities is Hang Out with Habitat. The goal is to raise $100,000, and the IP Casino Resort and Spa already has pledged $20,000 to the cause.
A professional rappelling company, Over the Edge, will oversee the safety and logistics for the event on October 13. More than 25,000 rappellers have safely participated in more than 500 Over the Edge events since 2003.
“Working as the veteran co-chairs for this year’s Hang Out With Habitat is both an honor and a privilege. Becky and I have many years of supporting Habitat,” Mark Jenner said.
