Gift and Ship Store Opens in Gulfport story by Lynn Lofton photo by James Edward Bates
With a desire and passion to have her own business while providing a service to the community, Mary Ellen White opened Coastal Postal in July. “Service above Stamps” is the store’s motto.
The gift and ship store has a full business center and offers a long list of services
that include mail box rental with a real street address; digital printing; full-service copying and finishing; wide format printing – banners and signs; rubber stamps; graphic design services; computer rental; shredding services; faxing – sending and receiving;
packaging, shipping and receiving; moving supplies and packaging materials; faxing; passport photos; gifts; balloons; greeting cards; and all occasion invitations.
“I’ve never done anything like this, directly, before,” White says. “Last year, I retired from Mississippi Power Company after 35 years of service. During my career with the company, I held positions in Customer Service, Training and Revenue Accounting all while directly delivering customer service or in support of those who do. Now, I’m here and ready to serve.”
