My Business: As the advancement officer for William Carey University Tradition Campus, it is my job to serve as an ambassador for the institution while securing funds
to enhance, improve, grow, and support the University’s financial needs. In addition, I make it my business to not only fundraise, but also friendraise!
With the addition of the Pharmacy School and additional academic buildings on the Tradition Campus, the financial need is great in order to complete these projects and allow the campus to grow. (Advancement Officers are responsible for the identification, cultivation, and solicitation of annual gifts and major gifts.)

Tell us about the journey that led you to your current position: After spending 10 years in the hospitality industry, I moved to Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College where I spent seven
years in Foundation and Alumni Relations. As an Alum of William Carey University, I have always loved the faith-based environment and small school feel that William Carey provides.
I have always had a passion for education, fundraising, and community service. These three interests made a career in higher education a perfect fit.
