About Me: With the help of friends and family and the Good Lord, I opened a little store called Things I Like & More the week before Christmas last year.
It started as an idea as I shopped with family and friends at antique stores, thrift stores and unique stores while traveling on work trips, ball trips and vacations. I would always say, “I’m going have this in my store” or I would make things and say, “I’m going to make this for my store.”
As I made these comments, I always had the name of the store in the back of my mind — Things I Like. Each person who helped
me added their uniqueness and passions, hence the name, Things
I Like & More.I searched for Mississippi made items and folks who’re passionate about the things they make and brought them into Things I Like & More.
We offer many handmade items from candles & frames to jewelry & pottery as well as inspirational gifts, essential oils, paints, gourmet foods & more. We also offer rustic and vintage home decor.
Things I Like & More offers something for everyone. This is just the beginning of many great things and new items that I hope to offer to folks of South Mississippi, their families, and visitors.
What is your Motto? Treat others the way you would want to be treated.
What was the journey that led you to your current position? While working at the bank for years, I became very interested in Stress Relief. I began getting interested
in Aromatherapy and the use of Essential oils. The more I studied and used them, the more serious
I got. This is what led me to Massage School, where I wanted to learn to apply essential oils. I fell in love with Massage Therapy and all the bene ts that massage offered.
I loved it because you’re always learning. It is very rewarding when you help people feel better. I have absolutely loved this industry and it’s such a joy to be able to do something that you believe in and enjoy doing. I wish that everyone had a job that they loved. It makes going to work easy. I have been so thankful for the clients that choose us and we appreciate all of them.
What would you like our readers to know about your Business? I’ve been in business now for 16 years and I have had many great therapists. In the very early days,
I appreciate the therapists that started with me and helped the business grow. Over the years we have added services. All of our Therapists are experienced and knowledgeable in helping others with many different problems. We offer many types of massages. We were the rst in the area to offer Ashiatsu (Barefoot) massage and the rst to offer Himalayan Salt Stone massage. We also offer customized facials, Microdermabrasion, Peels, Hair Removal (waxing & threading), Green Pedicures and many Luxurious Body Treatments and more.
What sets you apart from other in the same eld? We are known for deep therapeutic work and focusing on the problems each client may have. Although we still do relaxation, most of our clients are coming to us for speci c work or pain issues.
“Feeling good and looking good is only a touch away!”
