About Me: My greatest business strengths are having the vision to establish a gallery gift shop where shoppers can nd unique art, accessories, home décor and gifts, and artists feel supported.
In ve years I would like my business to be a thriving part of the Pass Christian business community. I’d like shoppers to feel con dent that they can nd unique and interesting gifts, art and accessories. I’d like to continue to support local
and regional artisans, giving them an opportunity to display and sell their work. And I hope to have attracted and developed a team of workers who are dedicated and committed to the vision of Robin’s Nest.
The best advice I’ve ever received is
be prepared so that you can have a store atmosphere that is welcoming and inviting to not only the shoppers, but to the staff who work there. To make sure you surround yourself with capable people who can handle details that are not your strengths.
I chose this particular business because I wanted to create a gallery gift shop with an environment that promotes and celebrates the creative spirit in
us. Becoming a business owner is a
new path for me, but one that uses my life experiences as a social worker, administrator and jewelry designer. Owning Robin’s Nest in the Pass is a true labor of love!
I chose this business because: cooking comes naturally to me. I was raised by a single mother of 8 for whom cooking was a way of life. My mother owned a sweet shop and sold home cooked dinners to members of her community.
My greatest business strengths are: a solid background in hospitality services, leadership ability and a strong work ethic. I worked for various food service establishments, including Garden Park Medical Center where I served
as Diet Of ce Supervisor and Food Production Manager. In 2002, I was voted employee of the year and received the national Thomas F. Frist Award over many prestigious professionals from all over the country employed by the Hospital Corporation of America. I am goal oriented and have the ability to direct complex projects from concept to fully operational status.
In ve years I would like my business to be:
continuing to grow in a highly motivated, organized direction that ensures exceptional customer satisfaction. I feel there is no task too challenging to tackle with my great love of cooking and pleasing customers.
