Fete La Pointe is a fundraising event
and evening of elegance, that directly supports the continued maintenance and preservation of our beloved Pascagoula gem, La Pointe – Krebs House. This year’s event will celebrate the relationship between the Coast and Caribbean. There will be
a bountiful buffet of Caribbean fare and complimentary wine, alongside dinner entertainment by local musician Rick Kosman.

A Seat at the Table: The Testimony of Fannie Lou Hamer by Regina Taylor 6-8 p.m.
This staged reading focuses on the life of organizer and voting rights activist Fannie Lou Hamer, from her beginnings in rural Mississippi to her historic testimony before the 1964 Democratic National Convention. The play is penned by nationally celebrated, multiple award-winning playwright and actress Regina Taylor, and will be presented as a staged reading. Tickets start at $35. Booker Fest (named for musician James Carroll Booker III) is back at the iconic
100 Men Hall, (one of the last standing buildings on the Mississippi Blues Trail!) from Friday, August 30 to Sunday, September 1. Enjoy good food, good music, and good drinks.
