Contemporary decorating focuses on color, space, and clean shapes, creating a sleek look. State- of-the-art materials are frequently used to create bold statements and drama.
Mid-Century Modern style is the easy-going cousin here. It is comfortable and clean, not fussy or

opposite of the rich velvety and cushy  oral style of the 1940s, the Mid-Century Modern style is characterized by natural, neutral colors, strong lines, and practicality.
