Father-Daughter Duo Wins Championship

Every Father’s Day weekend, the Mississippi Golf Association (MGA) hosts a Father-Son/Daughter Championship in the Jackson Metro Area. This year’s championship

back. “Russ and Gracie Bloom of Pass Christian got o to a hot start shooting a 62 (10-under par) in the rst round held at Patrick Farms Golf Club located in Pearl,” he remarked. “That score gave them a 4 shot lead after day one.”

a 9-shot cushion after day two. “The Blooms were red up and ready after holding the lead for both days,” Smith said. “When talking to the duo Sunday morning, they felt con dent and relaxed to go out and take down the entire eld.”
Blooms came very close to accomplishing that goal after shooting another 10-under par 62 in the nal round held at the Country Club of Canton, giving them a three-day total of 186 and 30-under par.
