Nestled in the heart of the bustling D’Iberville Promenade, The Yard Milkshake Bar serves up gourmet treats with a down home feel. Boasting a menu variety of over 30 signature shakes, sundaes and cone options using select Hershey’s flavors, The Yard has perfected the art of ice cream.
Served in your choice of collectable Mason jars, the shakes are piled high with vibrant and colorful treats to enhance the experience. Here, the quality and flavors are rivaled only
by the aesthetic. The Yard has several ice cream and sorbet flavors made by The Hershey Company exclusively
for them. Having such a quality base serves as a solid foundation upon which these mountains of sugar-laden glory are built.
White chocolate multicolored mermaid tails are made daily in house, as well as over a nine signature cookie dough recipes that can be layered within the shakes and sundaes or devoured by themselves. Cakes, sprinkles, brownies, donuts and
more can be added to each shake, making the customizable options endless. For those not normally able
to enjoy ice cream because of the dairy component, they also have delicious lactose free options, as well as two signature sorbets (the mango is heavenly).
Each carefully hand-crafted shake
is made to order, so we opted for the “Old School Banana Split’’ for our introduction. A blend of two signature ice cream flavors, strawberry and banana pudding, and a jar dipped in chocolate icing serve as the base for this sweet classic, topped with peanuts, chocolate drizzle, blended strawberries, a whole banana, whipped cream and the essential cherry on top. This dish quickly became a table favorite with scarcely any left behind.
Sour meets sweet in the unique and quirky combinations found in “The Unicorn,” which is sure to bring back memories of flying unicorns and Lisa Frank inspired art. Cotton candy
ice cream with purple marshmallow drizzle loaded with sprinkles, rainbow whipped cream, cotton candy clouds, sour rainbow and a sugar cane unicorn horn provides a sugar rush that
can’t be understated. This colorful concoction is as much fun to eat as it is
