Chefs of the Coast is going to Hollywood, and the Mississippi Coast Restaurant & Beverage Association invites you to come “Dine like a star!” The 36th annual Chefs of the Coast Food & Wine Gala will be held
on Sunday, Sept. 16, at the Warehouse in Gulfport.
The Warehouse, located at 3420 Giles Road, houses hundreds of movie props and sets from movies and television series. The event will be held 6-9 p.m. with a special VIP hour from 5 to 6 p.m.
This year’s event will offer food sampling from more than 30 Coast restaurants, wine tasting, live music by vocalist Anderson Domingues, and the Gulf Coast Chili Cook-Off — a Golden Ticket event and a qualifier for the World Food Championships. Attendees can also view the creations of the Food Meets Art competition.
The dress code is a little different from past events. “Since we’re hosting this year’s event in a unique venue, we encourage everyone to come dressed as your favorite Hollywood actor or movie character,” said Susan Perkins, executive director, Coast Restaurant Association. “Otherwise, the dress code is Coast casual.”
