Four businesses have been elected by the Hancock Chamber membership from a field of 18 nominees as 2018 Businesses of the Year.
MAYLEY’S PEST CONTROL Family-owned and operated, Dave Mayley and his staff are committed to community and their customers, keeping Hancock County homes pest and termite free since 1996.
HANCOCK WHITNEY BANK This iconic banking institution got its start in Hancock County. Its Diamondhead branch, one of more than 200, continues the tradition of providing quality customer service, supporting the community and encouraging economic development.
RUM KITCHEN Starr and John (Chappy) Chapman demonstrate the essence of a good, strong business: utilizing solid ethics in its working relationships with its employees, vendors and guests; engaging fellow businesses; and always reaching outside the box to promote the City of Waveland and Hancock County.
FRIENDS OF THE ANIMAL SHELTER Founded in 2000, their mission is to mobilize residents to support the Shelter, facilitate the spay/neuter of dogs and cats and improve the general health and welfare of animals in the county. Last year the transport program saved 498 dogs and cats.
Businesses of the Year and Outstanding Citizens will be recognized for their contributions to improving quality of life and the business environment in Hancock County during the Chamber’s Annual Salute to Business & Industry Awards Gala on August 23 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at Hollywood Casino – Gulf Coast in Bay St. Louis. The Hancock County Port & Harbor Commission
