then were beginning to fish their way back to Biloxi when they hooked up
one last time with a fish more in line with their expectations. They fought the king back to the boat and boated a 49.3-pound beauty.
With the deadline for
weigh-in looming, they
picked up and ran back
to Biloxi. While the last
fish was their biggest, it was just under four pounds too small to beat Bad Company’s 52.9 pound winning fish. The Intense team didn’t take home any of the $138,000 in prize money in the King Masters tournament, but the following week they won over $80,000 with a third-place wahoo
in the Billfish Classic. They then followed this up with another third-place wahoo worth $53,000 in the Emerald Coast Blue Marlin Classic.
