Chef Vu Nguyen has a story for
almost every item on the menu at tien, the interactive Asian restaurant at IP Casino Resort Spa where he is the room chef. The AAA Four Diamond-rated restaurant has a new summer menu that ties together traditional flavors with Southern favorites.
If you haven’t been to tien, be prepared for a variety of flavors. The restaurant features Vietnamese, Korean, Chinese and Japanese selections,
along with sushi and Korean barbecue you prepare yourself. There is also teppanyaki dining, where, along with
a great meal, diners are treated to
amazing culinary performances by the chefs, along with fantastic views of the Back Bay. And, tien boasts the only female teppanyaki chef in the area.
The expansive offerings take diners
on a journey starting with small plates, including the new royal red shrimp and the ahi poke tuna crisps. The chopped tuna was so fresh and delightful served on crunchy thin wontons with crisp cabbage. The sauce carried a citrusy taste that definitely packed a punch
of spicy Thai chili — a perfect start to whatever was to come next.
Those in the mood for sushi will find plenty of choices. Diners can sit
