to Enjoy the Outdoors in Coastal Mississippi

The Mississippi Gulf Coast has so many amazing things to enjoy and one of the most beautiful is the great outdoors! In this listicle (list article), I’m breaking down my top five favorite things to do outside, under the sun!
1. FISHING
Whether you are freshwater fishing or saltwater fishing, the Mississippi Gulf Coast has countless spots for that big catch! Not only are there lots of great piers and bridges to fish or cast net off of, such as the Old Biloxi Bridge and the Gulfport Marina, you also have the opportunity to book one of many fishing charters available.
2. BICYCLING
A great way of taking in the sites along the Mississippi Gulf Coast and enjoying the surrounding beauty is taking a cruise on a bike. If you don’t have a bike, don’t want to tote one around, or didn’t bring one down on your trip, there are even a few places to rent one.
3. BEACH
With 26 miles of beach in Coastal Mississippi, there is no shortage of space to sit back and relax. From Pascagoula all the way to Bay St. Louis, there are plenty of places to stop and drop a towel. You can take time to enjoy a book, have a picnic, and so much more!
4. RIVERS
Go a little inshore and explore the rivers and estuaries we have. By taking a boat, kayak, or canoe to discover the bends in the river, you can surely enjoy the peacefulness of the outdoors. Another fun activity for the river is tubing with friends.
5. NATURE WALKS
Some of my favorite nature walks are along the Mississippi Gulf Coast. You can check out tons of local flora and spot some pretty cool critters! From Gulf Islands National Seashore in Ocean Springs to the Possum Walk by the Stennis Space Center, we have a slew of different trails coast to coast.
