Don’t Worry Be Happy benefiting the Mental Health Association of South MS (MHASM) is July 15, 2022, at Biloxi Civic Center. This year’s causal theme is “Get your Sport On,” so wear your favorite team shirt or colors. Emcee Bill Snyder of WLOX starts things off at 7 p.m. and Black-Tie Auctions Auctioneer Chuck Mutz helps add to the excitement.
House of Representatives Kevin W. Felsher is set to receive the Annette O’Keefe Humanitarian Award. Representative Felsher has shown exemplary leadership in Mississippi on mental health, education and more. He has worked on efforts to start a statewide mental health diversion court and to improve the intake process for indigent patients. In 2022 he sponsored HB 732, which is helping Mississippi implement the 988 Suicide Prevention Hotline. He also advocated for funding for the Department of Mental Health and Mississippi’s first mental health diversion center.

the Therapy Dog. Each were nominated due to their community involvement. All have a passion for mental health and want people to know it is ok to get help. By being involved it has an impact on raising awareness. Each Honoree is putting together a fabulous live auction package to help raise needed funds for mental health in South Mississippi.
These restaurants are presenting a delicious food tasting: Blue Dog Bistro, Ground Zero, Half Shell Oyster House/The Rack House, Martinis, Scarlet Pearl Casino Resort and The Shrimp Basket. A mixology contest will include competitors Half Shell (Hard Rock), Half Shell (Gulfport), Marina Cantina, Martinis, Rack House, Sandbar Daiquiri Bar & Grill, The Reef, and The Shrimp Basket. Enjoy the Punch Wall and Heads or Tails game, a silent and live auction. New Orleans DPlay Band will be there to liven things up.
