Downtown Biloxi is an eclectic place with so many things to see and do. The city is not only
surviving in these uncertain times, it is thriving and re-inventing itself. Things continue to happen in the world, but Downtown Biloxi is weathering the storm and growing despite adversity.
When coming downtown, your taste buds will be delighted by many dining options, with most o ering outdoor  dining. Sal and Mookie’s is a local favorite for pizza and ice cream and recently added outdoor seating.   In downtown Biloxi, you can  nd the  tantalizing aroma of craw sh boiling  or watch fresh oysters shucked in an old time service station repurposed as a restaurant, The Ole Biloxi Fillin’ Station. You can also dine in historic structures. One of the oldest Biloxi homes is the world famous Mary Mahoney’s Old French House, renowned for its  ne dining.
Have you ever lunched in an old library? You will at Le Café Beignet. Even exotic foodies will be in heaven when they discover delicious Thai
food at the Mermaid Dive Bar on the  rst  oor of the Masonic Lodge  building. Need a sports bar and the best
hamburger around? Try Mugshots and relax on their unique patio while you root for your favorite team.
Patio 44 o ers all types of cuisine with  a great patio for dining and an upscale special events room with a private patio. Searching for hometown cooking? Burger Burger not only has a unique po’boy-style burger (with a secret sauce), but also great blue-plate lunch specials each day. These are just a sampling of the twenty downtown eateries waiting for you.
Looking for things to do? Hop aboard the Biloxi Tour Train and take a ride through downtown. You will receive a knowledgeable, expert-driven tour and see the Biloxi Art Murals; all depict Biloxi’s three centuries of culture and history. A new park is in the works which will feature an interactive art piece situated on Howard Avenue, adjacent to the Greetings From Biloxi mural. Just down the street is Gallery 782, an artist co-op featuring forty local artists.
Downtown Biloxi is home to fabulous boutique shopping: Ladidaa, The Threaded Cork, Cologne & Cotton, Grant’s Meanswear and Grant’s for Her, and The Fashion Carriage. On Howard Avenue, you can  nd an 
old-time hardware store, Ellzey’s Hardware, where you can  nd anything  you need and get that old-time personal service too. Ready for something out of the ordinary? Look no further than Skal Axe Throwing! Try the latest trend around and learn how to throw an axe. How about a little taste of Mardi Gras
to boost a boring day? Check out the Coastal Mississippi Mardi Gras Museum, now in a great new location on Howard Avenue. End your day with delicious daiquiris at the Sandbar Daiquiri Bar & Grill.
Great growth continues downtown with the opening of Marley’s Music, Biloxi Bicycle Works, Ladidaa Boutique & Home Store, The Greenhouse Biloxi and most recently, Last Minute Sweets. Work continues on the Magnolia Hotel, soon to be
a restaurant, as well as on a new bed
& breakfast right across the street that will soon be welcoming guests. The old Josette’s building is being reimagined
as beautiful downtown apartments. Caillavet Street will soon be home to Newman’s Seafood Market and Restaurant.
As you can see, Downtown Biloxi is where it’s happening.
