BUSINESS&INDUSTRY
THE PEOPLE BUSINESS story by Kelsey Sunderman-Foster photo courtesy of Brandi State Portraiture
Everything about Holly Lemoine-Raymond speaks to her heart for the people. After all, as broker and owner of HL Raymond Properties, Raymond spends her days (and nights and
weekends too) helping her clients nd the perfect home or the perfect buyer.
Even the HL Raymond Properties o ce, located in beautiful Bay St. Louis, is steeped in community history and is
a constant reminder of the community she serves. “Our o ce is located in what was actually an orthodontist’s o ce for
many years,” Raymond said. “When we rst moved in, I asked people to send me whatever they had – old wood, odds and ends, you name it – and they did.
I love looking around and seeing all these mementos of the people in my life.”
Raymond was largely in uenced to enter a career in real estate
by her mother, Mary Ellen Gravois. “My
mom was one of my biggest
inspirations,” she said. “She was
always doing
things for other people, and she
instilled that same mindset in me.”
Raymond and her team can often be found in the community, giving back
to others. “Just like my mother taught me, it’s
important to me that my agents understand that it’s
all about taking care of people along the way,” said
Raymond. HL Raymond Properties actively supports local organizations by donating time and funds
to causes such as the Boys & Girls Club, Habitat for Humanity and Gulf Coast animal shelters.
Another passion of Raymond’s is video production, a love she pursues through her
business HL Raymond Productions. Since 2019, she has showcased the beautiful Mississippi Gulf Coast through her own television series, Inside Out with HL Raymond Properties, which currently has two seasons and is available
on the show’s YouTube channel. Raymond has been featured in HGTV hits such
as You Live in What and Beachfront Bargain Hunt.
While part of her has always been drawn to television, o ers to join national shows full time haven’t been enough to draw Raymond away from her home.
“I love production, but doing something like that would keep me from doing what I’m doing now – I wouldn’t be able to
be here for my people, and they have to come rst.”

“Being a part of this community
means everything to me. I love my job, and I love the people. The community started me, and now it’s my turn to give back.”
