ith its location near waterways, a railroad, an airport, Interstate 10 and U.S. 90, Moss Point has
much to o er from the water’s edge to the leading edge in development.
The city’s website, cityofmosspoint.org, makes it clear that development inquiries are welcome: “Moss Point is ready, willing and able to help you start, grow or locate a business in the city. Our geographic, transportation, workforce and site advantages are strong assets for long-term business success.”
Within the vicinity of Moss Point are three “Project Ready” industrial sites certi ed by Mississippi Power Co. site program. Under the auspices of the Jackson County Economic Development Foundation, there is the 220-acre Moss Point Industrial and Technology Complex on Grierson Street, the 131-acre Helena Industrial Park on Saracennia Road and the 230-acre Jackson County Aviation Technology Park.
Sue Wright, the city’s EDGE Department Director, pointed out Moss Point has two exits o Interstate 10. The Green Gateway at Exit 68 goes directly to downtown and the Commerce Gateway at Exit 69 is the epicenter of Moss Point’s economy.
The city has seen expansive growth at its Commerce Gateway along MS 63 with several restaurants, hotels, businesses and car dealerships. The latest dealership to locate along the gateway is Bob

equity and inclusion” for everyone in his Rejuvenation administration. As a black man, the mayor said, “I stand in solidarity with my black brothers and sisters across the nation to bring about awareness
of the pain we experience in our daily lives because of structural and systemic
racism.”
He added, “I work to create and sustain
an environment that develops and nurtures cultural competence, positive people to people interactions, and linking communities together through universal respect and appreciation for one another.”
In Moss Point, the mayor is committed to “leadership and service platforms
that dismantle racism and uphold peace, respect and mutual understanding across all of our communities and people.”
