The 13th Annual “Don’t Worry Be Happy” event will be July 17, 2020, at the Biloxi Civic Center at 7:00 p.m. Scarlet Pearl Casino Resort is the presenting sponsor and social distancing guidelines are being followed. “We were already planning for a virtual portion of the event, this will be an exciting year to test out a new format,” says Kay Daneault, Executive Director of Mental Health Association.
Each year individuals, couples and companies are nominated and selected. This group is excited to be a part of raising awareness and funds for mental health and wellness. The gift packages that they put together will be auctioned live on the night of July 17. People will be able to bid, whether in-person or virtually.

There’s no health without mental health. Mental Health Association of South MS provides services primarily to adults, which include a Drop In day program, homeless outreach and housing, as well as educational opportunities (virtual and in-person). One is a 2-year certi cation training called Mental Health First Aid, which anyone can attend. Participants learn risk factors and warning signs for mental health and addiction concerns, strategies for how to help someone in both crisis and non-crisis situations, and where to turn for help.
