Fundraiser for mental health

Don’t Worry Be Happy is always a fun night for the community. The Mental Health Association of South Mississippi’s annual fundraiser invites businesses and individuals from around the Coast to come together in support of mental health and wellness. The annual event is scheduled for July 19 at Biloxi Civic Center.
“Come out to enjoy the band, a great silent auction, a food tasting by area restaurants, the Annette O’Keefe Humanitarian Award and a live auction,” says Executive Director Kay Daneault. “The 2019 Honorees have put together gift packages up for bid, including packages such as the Biloxi Bay Area Chamber’s Be a Tourist package.”
Each of these Honorees has expressed their feelings of seriousness when it comes to mental health. At the kick-off, most expressed a connection to the illness through someone they care about. Tina Ross-Seamans, BBAC Executive Director said, “we wanted to become more involved with this issue that effects so many in our area.”
