Bogart’s Steakhouse at Hollywood Casino Gulf Coast features relaxed
fine dining overlooking the Bay of St. Louis. The floor-to-ceiling windows allow guests to take in the sunset, plus enjoy a view of the marina and watch as the water from the two new fountains changes colors throughout the night. And while the room is comfortable, the staff is friendly and the view is terrific, it’s the food that keeps guests returning time and again.
Upon being seated, guests are treated to thin slices of Portuguese cornbread, something special from Chef Philip Harris. The cornbread, topped with
a dollop of creamy honey butter, is a delicious change of pace from ordinary rolls.
Harris treated us to an array of appetizers, including the seared jumbo lump crab cake, crab fingers (meatier than traditional crab claws), barbecue short ribs and sesame-crusted ahi
tuna. The crab cake was thick with big pieces of crab meat and served with a creamy remoulade sauce with a bit of
a kick. The tuna, served with seaweed salad, was lightly seared and topped with a wonderful wasabi aioli. Stealing the show were the boneless short ribs: tender pieces of meat covered in an
