April 1, 1977
USAF School of Applied Aerospace Sciences is inactivated; the USAF Technical Training School activated and aligned under the newly activated 3300th Technical Training Wing (TTW) which is assigned to the Keesler Technical Training Center (KTTC).
1973
The 815th was reactivated as part of the Air Force Reserve, ying C-130s at Keesler AFB, under control of the 920th Tactical Airlift Group (Reserve)
March 6, 1941
The War Department announced that the Army Air Corps would establish a technical school at Biloxi.
Jan. 1, 1959
Air Training Command redesignated the 3380th Technical Training Wing as the Keesler Technical Training Center and the 3380th Technical Training Group became the 3380th Technical School, USAF.
Sep. 29, 1941
The Airplane and Engine Mechanics School began operation.
July 1, 1943
The War Department leased Horn Island for chemical warfare studies.

Jan. 15, 1967
The 3389th Pilot Training Squadron is activated at Keesler. This unit trained foreign pilots under the Military Assistance Program (MAP) using the T-28 aircraft.
Aug. 25, 1941
The War Department
designated Army Air Corps Station No. 8 as Keesler Army Air eld.
May 10, 1943
The rst women’s unit, Detachment, Women’s Army Auxiliary Corps (WAAC), activated; redesignated the 749th WAAC Post Headquarters Company in late-May.
Feb. 8, 1957
Tactical Air Command’s Air-Ground Operations School arrived from Southern Pines, North Carolina. Its T-33s were the rst jets assigned to Keesler.
Aug. 1, 1972
Air Training Command (ATC) inactivated the 3380th Technical School at Keesler; the USAF School of Applied Aerospace Sciences activated and assigned to the Keesler Technical Training Center.
Sep. 20, 1941
The Army Air Corps Replacement Training Center was activated to train new recruits.
July 31, 1944
The War Department assigned its only emergency rescue school to Keesler.
