What Do
THOSE LETTERS MEAN?
While some acronyms after a doctor or health professional’s name are
pretty familiar, such as M.D. for Medical Doctor or D.M.D for Doctor
of Medical Dentistry, some aren’t quite as common. The letters
that come after a doctor’s title could tell you anything from
their education or specialty to their medical associations, and
knowing them can help you make sure you’re seeking care
from the appropriate health care provider.
