W101 story by Kelsey Sunderman-Foster
e’ve all heard that skin is the human body’s largest organ, but it’s one that often goes neglected. Accounting for around 16 percent of your overall body weight, the skin acts as a protective barrier between the outside world
and the inside of your body.
As the body’s armor, it’s important that we care for
our skin. While the term “skin care” covers all practices that support skin integrity, enhance appearance, and relieve skin conditions
from head to toe, most often you’ll
hear it used to describe taking care of the skin on our faces.
Whatever your skin type, a daily skin care routine can help you maintain overall skin health and improve specific concerns such
as acne, scarring, and dark spots.
A daily skin care routine has three basic steps you can do once in the morning and once before you sleep.
