Tiffany Dillard is the new executive director of CASA of Harrison & Stone Counties. She has 24 years of experience as a child welfare advocate including 14 years with Canopy Children’s Solutions. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in child and family education and a Master’s in early childhood education.
“It is evident that Tiffany has long committed to her passion and purpose of improving child outcomes and strengthening families,” said CASA Board President Renee Swoger.
Dillard says she is profoundly grateful for the opportunity to serve CASA and addresses the needs of the organization. “As of April 1, there were 293 children in child protective services custody in Harrison County and 74 in Stone County in need of a voice,” she said. “Our program exists because children living with the effects of abuse and neglect deserve to be heard.”
Last year, CASA volunteers around the country were the voices for nearly
240,000 children. “Unfortunately, each year there are many more children in need
of an advocate,” Dillard said. “You can help support our efforts by becoming an advocate, volunteer, or board member. Volunteers are the heart of our program and it’s our goal to support them in every way. Ninety four cents of every dollar raised goes directly into our programming to recruit, train, mentor, and educate our volunteers.”
