Have you had an interesting or unusual case you can tell us about? In general we are now able to do procedures in the of ce with patients awake that in the past would have required general anesthesia and a more prolonged recovery process.

Why do you enjoy what you do? I enjoy the wide variety of patients we are privi- leged to treat from infants to the elderly. We are surgeons and also get to treat a lot of primary care patients for things such as ear infections and sore throats.

case you can tell us about? I actually had a patient who refused sedation and underwent a balloon sinuplasty using self-hypnosis. She did great, and I was amazed!
