My greatest business strengths are: Not fearing failure, and quickly and decisively executing
my visions of how my businesses should run
and operate. I have always loved researching, so when I have an idea for a business I do my research, formulate a plan of action and execute it immediately. This gives me the most momentum when starting a new venture as I am excited to get going, and it doesn’t allow me time to start second guessing myself about decisions I may have made. Even at a young age, I have never feared failure because what some call failure I call an opportunity for learning and growth. To those in business, these opportunities come daily as business is constantly changing. This is how entrepreneurs hone their skills to take them to the next level of success.
In ve years: I would like to see my Home Care business expanding into neighboring states and my weight loss product being sold nationally. As of now, I have received my National Drug Code from the FDA and have a patent pending. My next plan of action is making this weight loss product
The best advice I’ve ever received was: From my father who told me I could do anything if I set my mind to it and don’t let obstacles get me off track.
I chose this particular business because: I love helping people. We currently serve the entire Gulf Coast with services for personal care, respite and private duty nursing. My business would not be
a success without my wonderful of ce staff and great workers in the eld. “Team work makes the Dream work.”
My inspirations come from: God and my family. I knew at an early age that I would own a business. My father and several family members have owned businesses. Watching my father sell cars on his lot as a child and young adult inspired
me to be the woman I am today. That’s why I will continue to strive and be open to different business opportunities.
I feel that my greatest business strength is: I have been able
to create a place where three generations of women can shop.
I love nothing more than when a grandmother, mother and daughter come into the boutique and all leave with something!
rewarded for persistence and hard work.
In ve more years I would love to see my business expand to include more than just women’s clothing, shoes and accessories. There is a need in our area for children’s and men’s clothing, and I would love to be able to help ll that need.
I chose this particular business because not only do I have degree in Fashion Merchandising from the University of Mississippi, but when I decided to open my store almost seven years ago, there was a need and want for a woman’s boutique in our cozy downtown area. I have never regretted this decision.
The best advice I’ve ever received is to never, never, never give up! Owning a small business, in a small town can be very challenging at times, but I choose to work harder and smarter when things get tough. There is no better feeling than to be
My biggest inspiration comes from the many wonderful and dedicated woman who continue to shop with me year after year; from my New Orleans “weekenders” to my clients who have found me and drive from the other end of the Coast to shop with me on a regular basis. I cherish the many relationships I have made over the years I’ve been open. They are truly my inspiration!
