et’s start with the every basics: one of the first things one needs
to know about pho is how to pronounce it. In the South, we have a
tendency to pronounce everything phonetically, well, minus all the names on the Coast that contain extra vowels and constants. But pho
is not a long o, it’s a soft o – more like a u or a soft a. Think of it this way – pho (fu or fah) is your friend, not your foe.
