Have you had an interesting or unusual case you can tell us about? We have had several patients who have cancer in their eyes, such as a melanoma. Many
of these patients had no symptoms.
What general advice do you have
for South Mississippians to improve their health? Always wear sunglasses when outside.Follow a good diet and a consistent exercise routine.
William Carey University undergraduate students enrolled in anatomy and physiology courses have the unique opportunity to learn about the human body in the Ross Anatomy Lab.
The lab is part of
the WCU College
of Osteopathic
Medicine and
provides use of human cadavers. Carey is one of
the few universities that provides undergraduate pre-med students exposure to human cadavers.
During the past decade, the enrollment of biology majors at Carey increased 246%. In 2017, the university opened a new biology annex to provide additional lab space.
