Why do you enjoy what you do? I feel like the medical field has been my calling since I was a child, and I am blessed to be able to serve others with various dermatology ailments.
Fun Fact: I love to bake! I am also a Girl Scout troop leader and dance class room mom.
Special patient/case: I have a patient who had severe psoriasis which was not just an itchy rash for him, but also affected his social and family life. He was afraid to bring his children to
the park because of social embarassment and the heat would exacerbate his symptoms. After trying many different treatments, we have finally found one that has almost completely cleared his psoriasis. He is now much more comfortable in his own skin and is even planning a trip to Disney World with his family.

Fun Fact: Over the past three years I have become extremely passionate about a more holistic approach to everyday health care needs. I feel as a society we have come to expect a ‘magic pill’ for every little concern that we have and it’s not
a good thing. With an open mind, I try to stay up to date
on the latest research on more holistic treatments and I have been fortunate to team up with other health care professionals
in our area to teach free classes in our community providing education on natural health solutions. It has been so rewarding for me as I have gained this knowledge to be able to offer modern medicine and advice on holistic remedies to my patients depending on their preference. I will always go above and beyond to treat my paitents in a way that serves their beliefs and values.
Advice: Take the time to educate yourself about what you are putting on your skin. Our skin is our largest organ and it readily absorbs everything we put on it.
