Number of years you’ve practiced: 30 I began my career as a military dentist in the U.S. Army with 13 years active duty and 7 years in the Reserves. I have practiced as a civilian 17 years.
Why do you enjoy what you do? I enjoy giving patients back their smiles and getting people out of dental pain.
Have you had an interesting or unusual case you can tell us about? I had an
elderly patient who had dentures for 40- plus years. When she smiled, you could hardly see any teeth and she had that sunken-in look. I did Fountain of Youth dentures for her and not only did she get her smile back, but she looked years younger.
What general advice do you have for South Mississippians to improve their health? Brush and floss your teeth daily and see your dentist every six months.
Tell us a ‘Fun Fact’ about yourself, or something people would be surprised to know about you. As an animal lover, I have four dogs and four cats — all are rescue animals.
