BAND REUNION

It all started in 1972 when childhood friends Bill Hill, Randy Frierson, Noel Aucoin, and Hal Fountain began playing music during their days at St. Martin High School. After graduation they went separate ways but some continued to play together. They took the name ‘Coast’ from the words ‘Coast Concrete’ on a cap a band member was wearing when the group reorganized. A new lead vocalist, Glenn Lumpkin, joined at that time.
Now band members are reuniting to play June 4 to a sold- out crowd benefitting Make-A-Wish Mississippi at the Shriners Building in Woolmarket.
“Throughout the years, Coast has had members come and go, but on June 4, all 10 members will be there,” Hill said.
Coast has opened for well known entertainers including Sonny James, Shenandoah, Billy Ray Cyrus, John Anderson, Marty Stewart, Waylon Jennings, Eddie Raven, and Billy Joel Royal.

Vicki Applewhite founded Ocean Springs LIVE to help Ocean Springs become the live music capital of Mississippi by creating vibrant live music experiences for local and new audiences. Ocean Springs LIVE is a private venture supported by local citizens, businesses and volunteers.
