The concept for the marathon was developed by Pat Fellow, a Coast native who serves as event director. He is one of the founders of the Louisiana Marathon and trains, competes, cooks, speaks and manages endurance events.
The weekend kicks off December 9 at 11 a.m. with a health and fitness expo at the Mississippi Coast Convention Center in Biloxi. On December 10,
the 5K starts at 8 a.m. and the Kids Marathon starts at 9:30 a.m. There will be a post-race party following the 5K and Kids races and the expo will reopen from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. On December 11, the marathon starts in Pass Christian at 7 a.m. and half marathon starts in Gulfport at 7 a.m.
