Chef Frank McNeil will do everything in his power to make sure that going hungry is one thing you will never have to worry about during your stay. Chef Frank provides what they like to call Southern Cajun Cuisine which includes seafood gumbo, grilled oysters, boiled shrimp, boiled crabs, and all your Southern favorites. The crew has a saying out there, “If you get bored or hungry, it’s your own fault.” Between Chef Frank’s outstanding meals and the endless amount of activities, being hungry or bored should not even cross your mind.
The Cat Island experience is not only good for a vacation, it’s a superb environment to hold business meetings. After staying at the island, Bill Cash of Encompass Services started having his quarterly meetings at the island for the past few years. “We have guys coming in from all over the United States, and they were a little hesitant at first, but after the first stay this is something they look forward to every year,” Cash said. “Great service, accommodations, and excellent food. You can’t really ask for more. In between meetings, the group enjoys fishing and the relaxed atmosphere.”
Mac DeLaup, the owner of Castaway Rods and Fish-N- Hunt Pro Gear, also loves the Cat Island Experience. Since pretty much everything else is taken care of, he is able to really concentrate on field testing his gear so he can deliver the best product possible. “While testing some products
on our last stay, like the all new Taranis CX1 Castaway rod and our Pro Cork Stringer from Fish-N-Hunt, Sonny and the crew did an exceptional job taking care of us as usual,” raves DeLaup.
Who would have thought something like this was offered in our own back yard? An experience like this can’t be found in Louisiana or even Florida, but it’s right here hiding in South Mississippi.
