Why do you enjoy what you do? I enjoy contributing to my community by helping protect my patients’ vision. Ophthalmology and retina are truly special
areas of medicine because
of the ability to make a huge difference in an individual’s
life by improving their vision or preventing blindness. People value their sight, and it’s gratifying to create a partnership
with my patients through education and compassionate treatment that I provide. I also enjoy the wide variety offered through my subspecialty as my patients range from infants to the elderly. I can perform clinical exams, in-of ce procedures, surgeries and community outreach programs.
The eye is a small, yet complicated part of the body
that holds enormous importance for us. Through scienti c studies and clinical trials, we are constantly learning more about how to protect this valuable organ.
