Jubilee Buffet
Silver Slipper Casino Hotel
What’s better than all-you-can-eat snow crab legs? How about all-you-can-eat snow and Dungeness crab legs? And even better, what about the crab legs, served both hot and cold, offered nightly and all day on Saturday and Sunday? You can have all of
this at Silver Slipper Casino Hotel’s Jubilee Buffet.
The buffet has quite a reputation for its array of offerings, ranging from an excellent salad bar, to Southern, Asian, Italian and Mexican favorites, and delicious desserts, including freshly made funnel cakes. But it is the crab legs that bring people back again and again. The cold crab legs, along with peel- and-eat shrimp, welcome guests at the front of the buffet. The hot crab legs and shrimp are on the buffet line with other entrees.
Silver Slipper executive chef Joey Amann said they go through roughly 10,000 pounds of crab weekly. When asked the secret to the good-tasting crab, the chef said it is a Southern thing; he and his team put their heart and soul into cooking for their guests. “We make them like we do crawfish, shrimp or crab boils at our homes,” Amann explained.
Diners will taste that dedication in every bite of the tasty, fresh dishes. The
buffet uses locally sourced seafood and other products, and the majority of items are made in-house, the chef said. The salad bar is loaded with greens, vegetables, fruits, dressings, prepared dishes and more. “We try to do something different from everyone else and add the salads you wouldn’t normally get anywhere else,” Amann said.
On Mondays, ribeye steaks are featured at the carving station, while New York strip is the Tuesday feature. Pork ribeye is served on Wednesdays, and Thursday nights offer prime rib. Southern favorites include fried shrimp, fried and baked chicken, and smoked ribs, along with creamed spinach, collard greens, carrot souffle and shrimp Creole.
More features include General Tso’s pork, beef and peppers, egg rolls, and crab rangoon at the Asian station; and tamales, taco meat with toppings, and fried plantains at the Mexican station. Flounder stuffed with seafood dressing, seafood gumbo, boiled corn and potatoes, and hot pizza are also served. And for those who know just what they want in their Italian entree, there is pasta made-to-order.
The Jubilee Buffet is open daily for lunch and dinner, with a Champagne brunch served on Saturday and Sunday. The all-you-can-eat crab is available every night starting at 4 p.m. and all day on Saturday and Sunday, starting at 11 a.m.,
for $49.95. Lunch is available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through
Friday for $14.95.
