it comes to serving up creative masterpieces in a relaxed and laid back environment. Chef Loren Gautier has trained with some of the best chefs from New Orleans to Napa Valley to Oxford, and his love of his kitchen is emulated in each dish that he turns out.
The menu at One Thirty One Lameuse is seasonal and offers unique dishes that complement the various times
of year and what makes those times special. Brunch items include a Ponchatoula Strawberry Salad featuring goat cheese, candied pecans and, of course, fresh Ponchatoula strawberries. The Sticky Barq’s Pork Bahn Mi is Chef Gautier’s homage to Barq’s root beer. The King Cake Beignets are an ode to Mardi Gras, a Gulf Coast staple event.
Crawfish are in season, so what better way to enjoy them than in a fried hand pie? The Duck Poppers are a crowd
favorite. Featuring duck breast wrapped in jalapeño cream cheese and bacon, the Duck Poppers are a favorite of Gautier’s days spent hunting in the fall. Dinner staples such as the Nola BBQ Shrimp or the Duck L’Orange are house favorites that showcase Gautier’s ability to play with flavors and spices in ways that can excite any palate. And while Gautier prides himself on keeping his menu fresh and exciting, the house Seafood Gumbo is available year-round!
