When it comes to good barbecue, every Southerner has a favorite
sauce, a preferred rub, or an ideal side. However, most can agree that The Shed Barbeque & Blues Joint in Ocean Springs ticks off all the boxes for any barbecue connoisseur. Nestled on 19 acres on Fort Bayou and approaching its 20th anniversary, The Shed serves up delicious barbecue to locals and travelers in a fun, relaxed, and family-friendly environment.
Products of multi-generational cooks, butchers, and entrepreneurs, co-owners and brother/sister duo Brad Orrison and Brooke Orrison Lewis have developed a formula for success. This has resulted in numerous local, national, and international awards, but most importantly, a devout following from their customers, who are known as “ShedHeds.” Orrison and Lewis have a deep-rooted love
of BBQ, blues music, and hospitality, which is apparent in everything The Shed has to offer. The combination of live music, good food, and a unique atmosphere is the perfect recipe for what has become a household name.
Ribs, chicken, pork, brisket, and sausage are prepared and slow
smoked daily. You can get these by the pound or served alongside an amazing assortment of slaw, potato salad, mac and cheese or baked beans, just to name a few.
The Shed’s signature rubs, sauces and marinades add their own unique avors and tastes to any meal and even make the perfect gift for that hard-to-please barbecue enthusiast. All of The Shed’s homemade rubs, marinades, and BBQ sauces are proudly “junk free” – made with all natural, gluten free, and non-GMO ingredients.
The Shed is open seven days a week, and on the weekends they serve boiled craw sh and libations on the bayou at their “Shack Out Back.” The seafood shack is open seasonally.
