New attractions offer challenging fun

HINT HUNTER in D’Iberville features the “Owen Hunter” PI room where groups of up to six try and solve their way out.
Two new attractions recently opened on the Gulf Coast offering new challenges and fun with puzzling experiences for families, co-workers and friends.
Escape This in Biloxi locks groups of three to eight people in a room and gives them one hour to use the clues to escape. Since opening in late March, Escape This has been
busy each day. It currently features two rooms, the Insane Asylum and the Murder Mystery Office. In the Insane Asylum, the group must find all pieces of the straightjacket and mask and place them on the mannequin in the allotted time. If you want to escape the Murder Mystery office, you must use clues such as receipts and alibis to solve the murder and be released.
“We want everyone to leave having had an amazing time and doing something they have never done before,” said Escape This employee Cody Mercer. He encourages anyone interested to book online and get ready for an exciting time.
Hint Hunter in D’Iberville opened in April and currently features two puzzling rooms with plans to expand to five. The PI room is set up
for groups of up to six people. Groups are given clues and must put together the tools to get themselves out of the room within one hour.
Hint Hunter also features a jail cell room where visitors are put into a jail cell and must work together to free themselves within the allotted hour. Three additional rooms are planned to open soon with themes including an alien invasion, the lost fisherman and an abandoned gold mine.
“We want people to come closer together while they’re here, and we challenge them to work together,” said Marketing Director Barbie Wilcox. “We offer a great experience for dates, families and even companies looking to team build. It’s great intellectual fun for everyone.”
Other puzzling centers like Escape This and Hint Hunter are opening across the country and gaining momentum. Wilcox says that once people visit one they want to go to another because it’s such a fun experience.
