LETTERS to the editor
LETTER from the editor
What’s on the list of things you love about the Coast? What would you miss if you moved away? While other areas have their own delights, we are blessed here with many things to love and enjoy. Fresh seafood surely rates high on lots of lists. It’s available at inland locations, but it’s better here. We have beaches, a myriad of festivals, interesting museums, and the list goes on. We touch on a number of what makes this area special
in the Things We Love About the Coast special section. A ‘thing’ I love is seeing the kite
surfers in the
Sound. They make
it look easy, gliding gracefully across the water. Just as this month’s cover photo indicates, we have a story about kitesurfing in the special section.
There’s also a
Staycations special
section, which,
along with the
Things We Love,
can give families
and vacationers
some ideas about
being tourists
while not straying
far from home.
Sometimes we
ignore what visitors
come great distances to see and do. The staycation idea came about a few years ago when gasoline prices sky rocketed, making travel more costly. Living in a resort area as we do, it’s still a good idea to take advantage of the options right here and have a staycation.
Congratulations to Ramsey Wagner, graduating senior at St. Patrick High School, who’s our featured person in this month’s People section. After graduation, she will attend West Point Military Academy on a track scholarship.
If you think pickle ball is a dress-up event honoring those tasty treats made from cucumbers, think again. Pickleball (spelled as one word) is the latest sports sensation sweeping the Coast. Read all about it in the Sports & Outdoor section.
A third special section in this big edition of South Mississippi Living is Real Estate Top Producers. We are proud to present them and share their accomplishments.
