FINAL SAY
JENNIFER
 BROADUS
For over 30 years, I have had the privilege to serve as a teacher, school administrator, and now Superintendent of Education for the Diocese of Biloxi. It is my honor to be entrusted to a position that enables me to share my faith and offer my support to our dedicated faculty, staff, students and families. Being part of the mission of our diocese and nurturing a legacy of academic excellence is truly
a blessing.
The Catholic school community within the Diocese of Biloxi has served South Mississippi since 1854. In our diocese, there are nine elementary schools and four high schools, collectively educating over 4,000 students. All of our schools hold accreditation from both the Mississippi Department of Education and Cognia. A strong commitment
to forming intentional disciples of
Jesus Christ and promoting academic excellence is an integral part of our continued success. Over the last few years, our schools have been undergoing unprecedented growth.
Although preschool programs have been an essential part of our Catholic schools for many years, there has been a notable expansion in our early childhood education initiatives. Our early childhood programs are in high demand and many of our schools currently maintain waiting lists.
Early childhood programs within our Catholic schools offer a multitude of advantages. Our schools strive to foster faith formation in conjunction with academic learning. Age-appropriate prayers and values are woven into daily activities, helping our children develop a strong spiritual formation. Our schools ensure a seamless transition for children from preschool to elementary school by offering early childhood education within the same institution as
our primary grades. This continuity contributes to academic success and the social-emotional well-being of our students.
Our Catholic schools
have strong ties within their communities, providing
parents with young children
the chance to connect with other families and establish supportive networks. Early childhood programs within the diocese offer a secure and nurturing environment for children to thrive, explore and learn.
As you embark on the journey of making educational choices for your children, I hope that you will consider
our Catholic schools. Registration is now open for the 2024-2025 school year and I encourage you to call and schedule
a tour. In light of an ever-changing culture, we continue to be rooted in a tradition of excellence. Our Catholic schools are committed to instilling spiritual fulfillment and promoting high academic standards.
