Great Techniques for Youths
Among the oldest and easiest techniques to master, popping cork rigs help children and novice anglers learn how to fish. The rigs catch speckled trout, redfish, flounder and many other species, even largemouth bass living in the brackish river delta marshes.
Essentially, a popping cork rig consists of a float holding up an enticement. When the angler jerks the rod, the cork gurgles on the water surface, simulating a fish striking
prey. Anglers can use many different live, fresh or artificial temptations when fishing a popping cork rig, but most people prefer to use live or fresh shrimp.
