Bash Collective Aims to Make Your Party a Carefree Reality

Any seasoned celebration enthusiast will tell you planning a party is not an easy feat, and while it can be an overwhelming experience, there are ways to reduce your stress levels and make it an easy-breezy event.
“If you’ve dreamed it I will do everything I can to make it a reality,” said Sarah Hutto, the owner and creative force behind Bash Collective in Ocean Springs.
“You want superheroes and mermaids?” she asked. “Done. You want unicorn dinosaurs? I’ve never seen it but I’ll create it. You have a 13-year-old who just wants
a cool space to chill with her friends that has the perfect backdrop for TikTok videos? I got it. The possibilities are endless. I am artsy and creative and I love a project so I’m really blessed to get to do things I love every single day.”
Hutto opened Bash on Thorn Street in Ocean Springs in April 2022 as a gift and party shop that encompasses all things celebration.
“You’ll find everything from bespoke gifts, gift wrapping, and boutique party supplies, to event consulting and event design,” she explained. “You can even rent out Bash to host your very own party – making it a party collective.”
Hutto and her husband of 10 years, Eric, moved
their family from Oxford to Ocean Springs in the summer of 2021. They have three young boys, Hayes,
8, Gray, 5, and Abel, 2, along with two mini longhaired Dachshunds, Rooney, and Tallulah. And as rewarding as being a boy mom is with lots of baseball practices and travel tournaments, Hutto was sad she closed her Oxford business Cookie Canvas when they moved to the Gulf Coast.
“I loved collaborating with clients and designing one- of-a-kind cookies for their events,” she said. “Over time, clients would contact me to help them with planning and designing their parties along with making the cookies.
I found a real joy in getting to be a part of their special occasions and it really makes me feel so honored when people come to me for ideas so Bash was born.”
And at Bash, the entire place becomes yours.
“You get the entire week leading up to your party to come in and set up or play around with decor and party supplies if you want,” she said. “Or I can do every single thing to set up for your party and all you have to do is show up and enjoy yourself.”
