Young Anglers Land Top Honors in Fishing Competition

Leslie Redding the “Female High School Anglers of the Year,” meaning they earned the title of best female bass anglers in the world for their age group.
Hokamp, an 18-year-old senior at D’Iberville High School, and Leslie, a 16-year-old junior, both began fishing at an early age. The pair partnered on the D’Iberville High School fishing team four years ago when Hokamp was a freshman and Leslie an 8th grader. They have fished together ever since. The girls credit their coach, Steven Ramsey, for mentoring them during the past four years and making them the best they could be.
“I wanted to change things,” Hokamp states. “When I started with the team, I told Coach Ramsey that I needed a
