Lynn Meadows Discovery Center
This amazing historic building is home to one of the best children’s museums! With so many different themed areas, you and your family are sure to find one to enjoy. Some of my favorites are the veterinarian’s office, the grocery store, and the center ropes. They offer many events throughout the year too, so keep an eye out for that.
Buccaneer State Park
Situated right on the water, this super unique park has a lot to do. There
is on-site camping, nature trails, a playground, and even a waterpark. The waterpark has a big wave pool, some slides, and a kiddie area. It’s definitely a great space to relax, cool off, and explore!
Mississippi Aquarium
This is the place to go to learn about all the aquatic wonders in our area. They have awesome outdoor exhibits including alligators, an aviary, and the adorable otters! I love walking through the indoor exhibits and being able to spot all the varieties of fish in this beautiful and relaxing space. There are also quite a few additional offerings they have, including meeting a penguin and Fin & Zen yoga, just to name a few!
Fred Haise Statue and Biloxi Moonwalk
A cool new addition to the Biloxi
area is the Fred Haise statue and Biloxi Moonwalk. Located right across the street from the lighthouse, these pieces give you a glimpse into space travel and tell the story of Biloxi’s own astronaut, Fred Haise, and the Apollo 13 mission.
Ship Island Excursions
Make some great family memories with a trip out to Ship Island. This is
a perfect day trip where you’re able to experience some of the best beaches in Coastal Mississippi. You can also learn more about the history of the area with a Fort Massachusetts tour. Whether
you are touring the fort, relaxing on the beach, birdwatching, or collecting shells, there is something for everyone in your family to do.
