Two family powerhouse names in real estate sales have joined forces to continue their brand of service to South Mississippi. Herbert Dubuisson and Chip Gardner have
a family tradition of real estate in their blood. Although Dubuisson is 44 and Gardner is 41, each already has 20 plus years of residential and commercial experience in real estate sales and management. Now they're associated with Latter & Blum, working in Mississippi and Louisiana.
“Latter & Blum is a powerhouse! Number 19 in the nation with $6.5 billion in closed volume on 25,000 units, last year alone,” Dubuisson said. “It’s also the second largest woman- led brokerage in the nation; that makes Chip and me, the great grandson and son of strong and dynamic real estate ladies, proud to call Lacey Conway our broker.”
Gardner's great grandmother, Gertrude Gardner, founded Gardner Realtors in New Orleans in 1943. Dubuisson's parents, Patsy and Herb Dubuisson, started a real estate company on the Coast in 1974 that became the largest in the state.
Now Dubuisson and Gardner are transitioning from leadership back into sales and are excited to do so. “We're
coming back into sales and focusing on clients,” Gardner said. “As a fourth generation REALTOR®, it's in my DNA.”
“Chip naturally fit into his new role bringing forth his strong market expertise and leadership with the same title at Latter & Blum when his family's business merged via acquisition in December 2020,” Dubuisson said. “One of the things that made my transition to Gardner Realtors so smooth was that my parents had the same business values as his family. Both families said work hard at making your community better.”
Both Dubuisson and Gardner have a long list of awards and certifications that they also bring to their service in South Mississippi, which further differentiates their services to clients.
With a recent million-dollar listing in Gulfport, the client told them he knows selling the property requires someone with a reach outside Mississippi, which Dubuisson and Gardner have. “There's no other partnership like ours,” Dubuisson said.
They are very optimistic about the South Mississippi real estate market short term and long range. “There's unlimited potential. This market is exploding,” Gardner said.
