• Keep a special bag packed in the car for each child to be used only when going out to dinner or for special occasions. This keeps the toys new and exciting for excursions. Non-electronic toys are recommended!
• Keep a basket in the laundry room just for missing socks – hopefully the match will turn
up eventually.
• Set a timer for toy clean-up,
screen time, etc.
• Keep a hanging storage shelf
in each child’s closet. Fill over the weekend with out ts for the upcoming week.
• Keep toothpaste and toothbrushes at the kitchen sink for easy access on the way out the door for those days when you’re running late.
• Keep a daily schedule of homework, activities, and errands.
• Keep a drawer for art/school projects lled with poster boards, markers, crayons for those last minute,
• Have the kids set the breakfast table the night before.
• Have everyone submit dinner ideas
for the upcoming week on the
weekend. Grocery shop over the
weekend and have everything ready for quick dinners that they helped pick out. Everyone will have a meal to look forward to that week!
• Have a three-bin laundry hamper for easy sorting: colors, lights, and darks.
• Keep necessities handy in a bag in the car, such as napkins, tissues, plastic bags, plastic utensils, straws and hand wipes.
• Make beds with a set of sheets underneath a waterproof mattress cover and make the bed on top of it for quick and easy bed changing at night.
• When traveling, put out ts in ziplock baggies and label for each child. This will keep things organized and conserve space.
• Learn to say “no.”
• Schedule “me time.” • Accept help.
